This article by Emilia (Year 12) will highlight examples of women holding influential positions in politics, business, and academia\u00a0<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>\u901a\u8fc7\u5ba1\u89c6\u5973\u6027\u5728\u9886\u5bfc\u5c97\u4f4d\u4e0a\u7684\u5d1b\u8d77\uff0c\u53ef\u4ee5\u5c55\u793a\u4e2d\u56fd\u793e\u4f1a\u5bf9\u6027\u522b\u89d2\u8272\u7684\u6001\u5ea6\u53d8\u5316\u3002\u672c\u6587\u5c06\u7a81\u51fa\u5728\u653f\u6cbb\u3001\u5546\u4e1a\u548c\u5b66\u672f\u9886\u57df\u62c5\u4efb\u91cd\u8981\u804c\u52a1\u7684\u5973\u6027\u7684\u4f8b\u5b50\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In China\u2019s evolving societal norms, the prominence of women in leadership roles demonstrates the shifting attitudes towards gender roles in the country; and as women continue to gain influential positions in politics and excel in academia and the business world, their collective impact will help reshape leadership in the future and change perceptions about what women can achieve in Chinese society. So, I wanted to mention some smart and hardworking women.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u5728\u4e2d\u56fd\u4e0d\u65ad\u53d1\u5c55\u7684\u793e\u4f1a\u89c4\u8303\u4e2d\uff0c\u5973\u6027\u5728\u9886\u5bfc\u89d2\u8272\u4e2d\u7684\u7a81\u51fa\u8868\u73b0\u8868\u660e\u4e86\u4e2d\u56fd\u5bf9\u6027\u522b\u89d2\u8272\u7684\u6001\u5ea6\u6b63\u5728\u53d1\u751f\u8f6c\u53d8\uff1b\u968f\u7740\u5973\u6027\u4e0d\u65ad\u5728\u653f\u754c\u83b7\u5f97\u6709\u5f71\u54cd\u529b\u7684\u804c\u4f4d\uff0c\u5e76\u5728\u5b66\u672f\u754c\u548c\u5546\u754c\u8868\u73b0\u51fa\u8272\uff0c\u5979\u4eec\u7684\u96c6\u4f53\u5f71\u54cd\u5c06\u6709\u52a9\u4e8e\u91cd\u5851\u672a\u6765\u7684\u9886\u5bfc\u529b\uff0c\u4ee5\u53ca\u4eba\u4eec\u5bf9\u5973\u6027\u5728\u4e2d\u56fd\u793e\u4f1a\u6240\u80fd\u53d6\u5f97\u7684\u6210\u5c31\u7684\u770b\u6cd5\u3002\u6240\u4ee5\uff0c\u5728\u4e0b\u6587\u4e2d\u6211\u60f3\u63d0\u4e00\u63d0\u53c8\u806a\u660e\u53c8\u52aa\u529b\u7684\u5973\u6027\u3002\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Guo Jianmei &#8211; <em>first public interest lawyer in China<\/em>\u00a0<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"514\" height=\"256\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whs-blogs.co.uk\/linguistica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/emilia-GUI-JIANMEI.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1333\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.whs-blogs.co.uk\/linguistica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/emilia-GUI-JIANMEI.jpg 514w, https:\/\/www.whs-blogs.co.uk\/linguistica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/emilia-GUI-JIANMEI-300x149.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 514px) 100vw, 514px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In 1995, Guo was inspired by something said by Hilary Clinton at the U.N Fourth World Conference of Women. She stated \u2018human rights are women\u2019s rights and women\u2019s rights are human rights\u2019. Not long after, she founded a women\u2019s legal aid NGO which earned her an award from Clinton as a Woman of Courage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Howey Ou &#8211; <em>Climate activist<\/em>\u00a0<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"559\" height=\"421\" src=\"https:\/\/www.whs-blogs.co.uk\/linguistica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/emilia-HOWEY-OU.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1334\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.whs-blogs.co.uk\/linguistica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/emilia-HOWEY-OU.jpg 559w, https:\/\/www.whs-blogs.co.uk\/linguistica\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/emilia-HOWEY-OU-300x226.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 559px) 100vw, 559px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Howey Ou launched China\u2019s first climate strike at the age of 16 when she held up banners outside the City Hall in Guilin, southern China.
