{"id":2207,"date":"2026-03-04T09:00:00","date_gmt":"2026-03-04T09:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.whs-blogs.co.uk\/linguistica\/?p=2207"},"modified":"2026-03-03T21:19:28","modified_gmt":"2026-03-03T21:19:28","slug":"chinese-artwork","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.whs-blogs.co.uk\/linguistica\/2026\/03\/04\/chinese-artwork\/","title":{"rendered":"Chinese Artwork"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong><em>Mandarin Students have been exploring Chinese Artwork, and the philosophical undertones to pieces of art. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201c\u7434\u68cb\u4e66\u753b\u201d\u5386\u6765\u88ab\u89c6\u4e3a\u4e2d\u56fd\u53e4\u4ee3\u6587\u4eba\u4fee\u8eab\u517b\u6027\u7684\u5fc5\u4fee\u8bfe\u3002\u672c\u5b66\u671f\u672b\uff0c\u6211\u4eec\u6b23\u8d4f\u5e76\u5c1d\u8bd5\u7ffb\u8bd1\u4e86\u51e0\u9996\u63cf\u5199\u6625\u5929\u7684\u5510\u8bd7\uff0c\u5982\u5b5f\u6d69\u7136\u7684\u300a\u6625\u6653\u300b\uff1a\u201c\u6625\u7720\u4e0d\u89c9\u6653\uff0c\u5904\u5904\u95fb\u557c\u9e1f\u3002\u591c\u6765\u98ce\u96e8\u58f0\uff0c\u82b1\u843d\u77e5\u591a\u5c11\u3002\u201d\u5728\u6625\u671f\u5047\u524d\u7684\u6700\u540e\u4e00\u8bfe\uff0c9\u201412\u5e74\u7ea7\u7684\u540c\u5b66\u4eec\u7528\u6c34\u58a8\u4f5c\u753b\uff0c\u4f53\u4f1a\u8bd7\u4e0e\u753b\u4ea4\u878d\u7684\u7f8e\u611f\u3002&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\u4e2d\u56fd\u753b\u5df2\u6709\u4e09\u5343\u591a\u5e74\u7684\u5386\u53f2\uff0c\u91cd\u5728\u8868\u73b0\u4e8b\u7269\u7684\u795e\u97f5\uff0c\u800c\u4e0d\u4ec5\u8ffd\u6c42\u5f62\u4f3c\u3002\u5b83\u901a\u8fc7\u58a8\u8272\u6df1\u6d45\u7684\u53d8\u5316\u548c\u81ea\u7136\u6d41\u7545\u7684\u7b14\u89e6\uff0c\u5c06\u8bd7\u3001\u4e66\u3001\u753b\u878d\u4e3a\u4e00\u4f53\uff0c\u5e76\u5de7\u5999\u8fd0\u7528\u7559\u767d\uff0c\u8425\u9020\u5b81\u9759\u800c\u5f00\u9614\u7684\u610f\u5883\u3002\u901a\u8fc7\u5c71\u6c34\u3001\u82b1\u9e1f\u3001\u4eba\u7269\u7b49\u9898\u6750\u7684\u521b\u4f5c\u4e0e\u6b23\u8d4f\uff0c\u540c\u5b66\u4eec\u4e0d\u4ec5\u9886\u7565\u5230\u4e2d\u56fd\u753b\u72ec\u7279\u7684\u827a\u672f\u9b45\u529b\uff0c\u66f4\u6df1\u523b\u4f53\u4f1a\u5230\u5176\u4e2d\u8574\u542b\u7684\u5929\u4eba\u5408\u4e00\u7684\u54f2\u601d\u4e0e\u60c5\u611f\u3002&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cQin, chess, calligraphy, and painting\u201d were traditionally regarded as essential disciplines for cultivating character and refinement among ancient Chinese scholars. This&nbsp;term, we appreciated and&nbsp;attempted&nbsp;to translate several Tang poems about spring, such as Meng Haoran\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Spring Dawn<\/em>:&nbsp;\u201cSpring sleep\u2014unaware of morning\u2019s light,&nbsp;Everywhere I hear birds in flight.&nbsp;Last night came the sound of wind and rain.&nbsp;How many blossoms have fallen again?\u201d&nbsp;In our final lesson before the&nbsp;Spring&nbsp;holiday, students in&nbsp;Year&nbsp;9\u201312 created ink wash paintings, experiencing firsthand the beauty that&nbsp;emerges&nbsp;when poetry and painting intertwine.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a history spanning more than three thousand years, Chinese painting emphasises capturing the spirit and essence of its subjects rather than merely achieving physical resemblance. Through variations in ink tones and naturally flowing brushstrokes, it integrates poetry, calligraphy, and painting into a unified art form. The skilful use of empty space further creates a sense of tranquillity and expansiveness.
