Lunch in China Town

Josephine (Year 10) tells us about her trip to China Town

On Monday, my classmates and I went to China town with Fang laoshi and Madame Baty. Firstly, we left school at 1, walked to Wimbledon station and got the tube to Leicester Square. On the tube we played games and had lots of fun.  

We arrived at ‘Real Beijing’ at 2:30. We spent 20 mins looking at the menu and then ordered in Mandarin. We ordered sweet and sour crispy pork, kung pow chicken, half a duck, chicken dumplings, mapo tofu, braised beef noodles, egg fried rice and jasmine tea. It was very tasty. I enjoyed the duck and the sweet and sour crispy pork because it was delicious. I found the mapo tofu a little bit spicy but it was very good. We were very full!  

We then spent 10 mins walking to the karaoke centre. We sang many songs, including Chinese songs, Japanese songs, Korean song and French songs. My favourite song was ‘Look over here, girl’ and ‘super idol’. It was very fun but some songs were more fun to sing then others. We also had some bubble tea. The jasmine tea was very strong and not very tasty. However, I enjoyed the Oolong tea. We then went back to Wimbledon on the tube. We arrived at Wimbledon station at 6.  

We all enjoyed the trip very much because we had lots of fun and learnt a lot. 

星期一，我和我的同学们、方老师和Baty老师一起去了中国城。首先， 我们一点离开学校，走路去了Wimbledon火车站，然后坐了四十分钟地铁到Leicester Square地铁站。在地铁上我们玩了游戏，玩得很开心。 

我们下午两点三十分到了“风味食堂”。我们先看了二十分钟菜单，然后用中文点餐。我们吃了锅包肉，宫保鸡丁，半个香酥鸭，鸡肉煎饺，麻婆豆腐，红烧牛肉面和鸡蛋炒饭，喝了茉莉花茶。我们点的菜都很美味。我很喜欢香酥鸭和锅包肉，因为很美味。我觉得麻婆豆腐有点辣，但很好吃。我们吃得很饱！ 

然后，我们走路十分钟去了卡拉OK。我们唱了很多歌，包括中文歌，日文歌，韩文歌和法文歌。我最喜欢的歌是“对面的女孩看过来”和“热爱105°C的你”。在我看来，这两首歌很有趣，但有些歌唱起来更有趣。在卡拉OK，我们喝了珍珠奶茶。茉莉花奶茶很浓，我们都不太喜欢。但是我最喜欢乌龙茶。最后，我们五点离开了卡拉OK，坐了一个小时地铁到Wimbledon火车站。我们6点到了Wimbledon火车站。 

我们都非常喜欢这次旅行，因为我们玩得很开心，也学到了很多。
